Article by Carol O'Brien

Weddings are one the most important occasions in any culture. It takes months of preparation and hundreds of hours going over the small details to create the perfect day we all dream. There are so many ways to create a special wedding. But if you really want to try something extraordinary, put some thought into planning a wedding in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas is represented by a veritible plethora of limousines, casinos, rare and sophisticated foods, rich and famous people, expensive hotels, clubs and restaurants. A wedding in this glamorous city would look like a royal extravaganza.

There are so many options you have when planning a wedding in Las Vegas. America’s City of Lights is a superb location and very easy to get to. For this reason, many choose to have their weddings in this unique place.

For the more adventurous person, having a wedding in a helicopter above Las Vegas at night would be unique. The ceremony can take place as you fly above the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas strip, or you have the option to fly to the Grand Canyon and say your nuptials there. This could really be an experience to tell to your grandchildren.

Another great location for a unique wedding is Red Rock Canyon. It is located a few miles west of Las Vegas and offers stunning scenery. You might also choose to have your wedding in a gondola or on a 75 foot private yacht at the beautiful Lake Las Vegas. When planning a wedding in Las Vegas, know that the City of Lights offers hundreds of chapels. Everything from the small intimate ones to the most exotic chapels in the world. You can choose from dozens of wedding themes, such as “Titanic”, “The Beauty and the Beast”, or even “Elvis”. Just let your imagination run free and have a memorable wedding day.
