Although the casinos are all hoping you're come and leave your money with them and many of the shows in Vegas will put a substantial debt in your wallet, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy Sin City without spending a lot of money. If you enjoy flowers, the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens is a delight to visit. These gardens display seasonal plants, flowers, and produce, and each season offers new sights to enjoy. There is no admission fee to view these beautiful floral arrangements. This is a great place for a photo op to help you remember your time in Las Vegas.
Have you ever seen water dance? If not, then stick around the Bellagio after visiting the gardens to see the fountains of Bellagio. These shows consist of more than 1000 fountains dancing in choreographed unison with light to the music. The fountains are free and shows occur approximately every half hour after 3 pm during the week and after noon on the weekends.
If you're looking for more great fun for the whole family, head on over to Circus Circus for Circus Acts. This free show offers the audience the thrills and chills of the circus big top. You can watch different acts as they perform throughout the day at the half hour mark between the hours of 11 am and midnight.
Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall offers a stunning display of water and laser lights four times daily. This show is called "Sunset Stampede" and takes place in a 9-story atrium that hosts a natural habitat of live trees, greenery, waterfalls, and trails.
Another great free attraction in Vegas is Rio's Masquerade Show in the Sky. Show in the Sky is performed hourly from 6 pm until 11pm every Thursday through Saturday and is reminiscent of Carnaval in Brazil. The Rio website says, "Your jaw will drop as talented performers perform all-new routines to edgy music as fantasy floats glide above the crowd, creating an energetic and dynamic musical celebration."
Another great freebie is the 117,000-gallon aquarium at the Silverton Hotel and Casino. This attraction is completely free to the public and is fun for children big and small. Interactive feeding shows are offered three times daily. The marine biologist inside the tank is equipped with a full-face communication mask and answers guests’ questions during the feeding show. Also, don't miss the live mermaid swim! Mermaid swims are scheduled Thursday through Sunday. Check the hotel for times.
The Sirens of Ti is a great sexy pirates tale that shows at Treasure Island each evening as the weather allows. The beautiful Sirens of Ti lure a band of renegade pirates into their cove with powerful melodies. The hotel website says, the "clash between the mesmerizing temptresses and their rebel prey transforms this 17th century story into a 21st century revelry of song and dance, seduction and danger."
